The Psychedelic Press is a UK-based independent publisher, broadly focusing their attention on the culture and science of various psychedelic plants and drugs.
Established in 2012, the ‘Press puts out the bi-monthly ‘Psychedelic Press Journal’, as well as fiction and non-fiction books exploring or inspired by psychedelic research, LSD, philosophy, and more.
Notable figures involved with the Psychedelic Press collective include;
- Ben Sessa – Paediatric psychiatrist coordinating the UK’s first MDMA/ PTSD study, the first person in 33 years to be legally administered a classical psychedelic drug in the UK, and a co-founder of Breaking Convention, Britain’s only psychedelic conference;
- Andy Roberts – LSD historian and author of the seminal ‘Albion Dreaming: A Popular History of LSD in Britain’;
- Robert Dickins – Author, writer, and poet focusing on the role of psychedelics in literature and poetry;
- Peter Sjöstedt-H – Philosopher and lecturer specialising within the field of Philosophy of Mind.
